4 generations

While my grandma was in town for a month in June, we got a 4 generation picture with all the girls!

We also took the opportunity to get a new family picture since the last one we had was in the hospital room when I had Ashten.

Ashten - 4 months

This girl is growing up so fast, too fast!  She is getting so big - seriously, sometimes I think she's grows overnight. 

New this month: 

• rolls over (both ways)
• sleeps on her tummy
• sleeps 10-12 hours straight per night
• giggles
• goes to the nursery at church now (although I still get paged once or twice to feed her)
• smiles a ton
• can sit and play in her exersaucer and walker now
• plays with toys a little -- especially ones she can fit in her mouth
• I think she may be cutting a tooth -- lots of drool and chewing on things

Grand Junction

We took a trip to Grand Junction last week to see my grandparents.  We hadn't been for two years because we usually go on Labor Day weekend, but last Labor Day weekend I was pregnant and riding in the car for more than about 15 minutes at a time made me really nauseous.  Not sure I could've handled the long car ride, let alone the ups and downs of going over the mountains.

So....anyway, we were excited to get time to go out there again.  The boys had a lot of fun.  It was super hot while we were out there, but you wouldn't have known it watching the boys play outside with all of my grandparents' cool stuff.

One lucky girl

Ashten rarely has a minute go by that one of her brothers isn't loving on her!

Look ma, no training wheels!

Brayden learned to ride his bike with no training wheels last week! It took him a day to convince himself that he could in fact do it and that it wasn't as scary as he thought, and then about 20 minutes to actually get up on his bike and ride it himself! We are so proud of him!

It's hard to get action shots of bike riding, but you get the idea!

Last weekend, Brayden and my dad took a hike up Green Mountain. Brayden made it all the way to the top and was really proud of himself!

10 years ago today

Wow -- time has flown by! Ten years ago today, I married my best friend and we started out in our new life together. The last 10 years have been quite an adventure, so fun, especially when I get to experience it all with the man I love! These last 10 years have seen:

• 2 apartments
• 1 house
• 4 different jobs
• 6 cars
• 4 children
• 2 dogs
• 2 cats
• 3+ fish
• 2 churches

I am so excited that this is just the beginning of our lives together, Lord willing we still have so much adventure left. I can't wait to write another post in 10 years and see how much more I have to add to that list! I love you Chris, my husband, partner and best friend!
