Under "R" Roof

I really don't like bugs - spiders, moths, flies, and especially bees. Sure, I know they serve a purpose and they do things to help the earth or eat other bugs I would probably hate more, but still, I don't like them. My dad got me one of these handheld bug zapper things for my birthday and I got to kill my first bug with it yesterday! I am sure anyone who might have been walking down the street and might have been looking in the house would have gotten a great show! There was a huge fly that got into our house while I was in and out watering the grass. I got out my bug zapper and hit him on my first try! I walked away thinking "yes, finally the end to all my bug problems, I'll just zap them!". I put the bug zapper away and got a paper towel to pick it up with and went back to the scene of the "accident". He was gone!!! I saw him a few minutes later flying around again. Dumb thing, he was apparently too big for the zapper to kill right away. So, I got out the zapper again and this time, when I had him cornered, I hit him about four or five times right in a row. The fly was so filled with electricity that he was spinning around on the floor buzzing from the shock of it! It was quite hilarious actually! I think that finally killed him, but just to make sure, I got a wad of paper towels (so I wouldn't have to feel him squish) and squeezed really hard.

This is going to be a fun summer!!!
