I have been very weary in the wait lately. It has worn me down and I miss our daughter more and more every day. Literally the only thing that gets me through is knowing that God did not bring us here just to leave us, He is still at work, even when it doesn't seem like it and even when I don't understand it. I know this season of waiting is for a purpose, if only to draw me closer to God and teach me to rely on Him more and myself less.
These verses have all been an encouragement to me at some point during this wait. I am struck by the fact of Isaiah 40:31, that I can actually become stronger during the wait, when I rely on Him. Renew my strength? Why yes, I'll take that!

These have probably been my favorite verses since we started the wait over a year ago. They are so powerful and meaningful to me.
I have these three verses hanging above my sink right now, I love how I can look up at them while I'm cooking or cleaning throughout my day and the Lord speaks truth right into my heart. I definitely need that for this long season of waiting.
I am hanging on to this promise, that I can't see how God is working, but I know He is acting on our behalf and on the behalf of orphans.

You found some great promises for waiting on the Lord. Thanks for sharing.
