Ramblings from indoors

I love this time of year and I also hate it. Spring is just around the corner, but winter isn't gone yet. Last week it was so warm and sunny, we got to be outside every day and really got spoiled. This morning it snowed and it is only in the 30's, so we are stuck inside and getting kind of bored. We really need the moisture, but it is so hard this time of year when the weather changes back and forth from springy to full-blown winter.

I wish I could control it, but my mood almost changes daily with the weather as well. There is just something about being able to open up the windows and wear flip-flops that lifts my spirits. Subsequently, there is also something about having to drive in the snow and bundle up that makes me grumpy and tired. The same goes for my boys too, although I don't think it is the flip-flops nor the driving. I think for them it is the being able to go outside without wearing coats, hats, gloves etc. and having more options of things to do by being able to go outdoors.

So, today is kind of a gray day here -- outside and in. I think I need some fun, indoor, rainy-day-type activities! Any ideas?

  1. I have an idea! You could move out here! :) It's so hard when that Colorado weather teases you! And don't we usually get the most snow in March?! Spring will be here before you know it and soon you'll be getting tired of putting on sunscreen! But it is more fun than having to bundle up each time and endure the cold. I'm sorry you're feeling down, the weather does that to me, too. Maybe you could make some pretzels??
